Have you ever been in a situation where you thought it would be funny as hell to just deadpan and hand someone a card with netspeak? If so you re probably a nerd. Welcome friend :) If not just think of the possibilities.
* Someone tells a great joke. Don't laugh, just hand them your ''LOL" card.
* A vegan or vegetarian (not one of the nice ones) is in your ear about how horrible you are for eating meat. Just whip out your "BACON" card and hand it over.
* One of your friends just said something ridiculous (or contrary to your opinion). Hand them your "You Sir, are an idiot!" card.
and, as they say, many more...

I have made these in the past for friends but now want to get them properly designed and blocked up and print enough to get small shops interested. There will be an online sales point as well but still working out how I want to go about that aspect. I want to start with a broad range of 10 that I have found popular and then expand into specialties (I have a great range of bad pick up lines, so bad they are guaranteed to work...Or just be bad, or maybe get a laugh...maybe use them at Comic Con) which I thought could be the second set developed.

I want to spend $300 to update my design software so this is all nice and above board, $500 to have them professionally blocked and the first stock printed, and $200 would go to starter pack display materials for potential onsale sights and specialty shop displays. I have loads more detail on this if anyone wants to be bored by it.

Design and production is fine but finding the right outlets to take them on could be a challenge. I have interest in low volume from Gallery and design shops, and a bit of interest from some giftware places if I can show them polished product and give them realistic margins. Online is of course my place to shine, but I am still looking into options here as I want to start at the right level of the market and be realistic on what I can do.
