LOVE SICK - Andrew Nicholls, works: 2009-2019 is a limited-edition (of 500 signed copies) monograph documenting the second decade of my art practice. It is the companion volume to Love Andrew Nicholls - Drawn Works, 1998-2008, a retrospective of the first ten years of my work, published in 2009. Bringing this publication together has been an absolute labour of love for me over the past two years, and I am thrilled that it is now so close to being launched. Assuming that humanity hasn't completely wiped ourselves from the planet, a 2020-2030 catalogue will premiere in another decade or so.
At almost 300 pages in length, this substantial book incorporates exquisite imagery of my drawings, ceramics, photography and major curatorial projects undertaken between 2009-2019, in addition to key writing published about my work during this time, and a newly-commissioned foreword by Eugenio Viola (Chief Curator, Bogota Modern Art Museum - MAMBO), and introduction by Glenn Iseger-Pilkington (Curator, Visual Arts, Fremantle Arts Centre). As fans of my practice would expect, LOVE SICK features excessive (but always tasteful), male nudity, along with the high-baroque scrollwork, floral studies and associated camp nonsense I'm known for.
In addition to facilitating pre-ordering of the book, this Pozible campaign offers a range of incentives and rewards including the release of some of my favourite artworks from the decade it chronicles. Please note that some incentives may require me to source a shipping quote, and this will be negotiated separately via email to ensure that I can find the most cost-effective option for you. All donations large and small will be most gratefully accepted.
Budget Overview
Generous funding from the Western Australian Government has covered the design development, writers' fees and part-printing costs, however a small amount of additional funding is required to ensure that the final document is of a truly sumptuous quality. $5,000 will go toward the printing costs, allowing for my work to be showcased to the best of its ability, and ensuring that the resulting publication is something you will treasure for years to come.

I have always resisted releasing prints of my drawings, so as not to compromise their hand-made nature, however, this work provides the best of both worlds, via the inclusion of a unique hand-drawn element on each print.
