Directed by Alan Chambers (NIDA) and written by Andy Harmsen (University of Melbourne), Doomsday Devices is set to consolidate Sly Rat Theatre’s fast growing reputation for making provocative and relevant theatre.
Sly Rat Theatre Co. is an exciting new company and, as such, operate on a profit-share basis. Following successful seasons of Harmsen’s THE MARTYRS in Melbourne and Mark Ravenhill’s SHOPPING & F**KING for the NIDA Independent Program, we anticipate a growing audience base amongst Melbourne’s theatre going public.

We need your help to raise the coin to make this exciting piece of theatre come to life! We are looking to consolidate Sly Rat Theatre as one of Melbourne's most vivacious independent theatre companies.
There are so many hidden costs associated with putting on a show of this magnitude. With your help we can cover the overheads and bring you our most ambitious project yet!

The Challenges
With 'Doomsday Devices' we hope to really focus on getting the word out and getting as many bums on seats as possible. The hardest thing about making theatre in a grand city like Melbourne is peeling people away from the TV and getting them into a theatre. We believe that we are able to deliver a spectacular and truly creepy night out. We are going to plug 'Doomsday Devices' everywhere we can! With your help, we'll make sure that everyone who's anyone hears about Sly Rat Theatre and 'Doomsday Devices'!
