Lake Terror
It was your classic and only slightly stereotypical Australian weekend.
We got talking about story ideas as filmmakers usually do, and having just recently been on a Horror and 80's Slasher binge, we came across the idea that two best friends (Dave and Josh) could go fishing, only to be disrupted by the worst thing ever: Zombies. Actually, that was the second worst thing to happen to them that day. The only thing worse is a third wheeler- Some guy called Stevo who is tagging along because Dave is sleeping with Stevo's mother.

Ben Hunter, Jack Berry, and Tim Kontaras will be joining us as ensemble lead cast.
From the outset, it was very important to cast actors who, through their respective bodies of work, showed versatility and an ability to fully immerse themselves in their characters.
With Ben, Jack, and Tim, this project has struck gold. Not only do they really believe in the story, but they are also open to collaboration. And, of course, the camera loves them.
Lake Terror, produced and co-directed by New York Film Academy alumni and horror enthusiast, Angus Bell Young, and concept, and co-directed by Ethan Thomas, will be a 4 minute short film exploring the nature of a best-friend relationship under strain.
We will be shooting for three days on the South Coast in early June, with a heavy reliance on exteriors, special effects makeup, and early starts.
How The Funds Will Be Used
It is very important to everyone working on this film, that it looks (and sounds) as brilliant as it can be.
This is where you come in.
There are a selection of crucial production elements of the film:
LOCATIONS:
We're doing a double whammy- accommodating and filming our interior scenes in the same place. This means our cast and crew are well slept, while also ensuring we have the most beautiful and appropriate location for the scenes.
Much of the film occurs on water- in boats.
Several generous Burrill Lake locals have donated their Dinghies however as we're quite a large unit for the area, the various councils and water authorities need a piece of our pie, and we don't want to have to swim!
MAKEUP/WARDROBE:
Ren Thackham is our maestro at the helm, hand-making our prosthetics down to the very last detail.
She is also a very good friend of both Angus and Ethan, and has been an integral asset to their award-winning shorts created to date.

TRANSPORT:
On the road again, and with over 27 cast and crew to travel from Sydney to the south requires several vehicles and a bus.
Unless we make like the Flintstones, we need to fill our cars with something!
CONSUMABLES:
A well-fed crew is a happy crew - and, to get the best out of everyone who are devoting their valuable time, we don't want to scrimp on sustenance.
POST PRODUCTION
We plan on carrying the same high level of production value across all facets of post production, from edit through to the online process. Come colour grading time, our intention is to really push the boundaries of aesthetic creativity.
To say any more would be giving too much away.
The Challenges
Making films without people like you would be near impossible. Luckily you’re reading this, so we’re half way there! Over to right you’ll find some fantastic rewards for donating to our little film - some of which have been kindly donated by other passionate fans so that we can show you just how appreciative we are for your help. If you're low on $$ right now, simply clicking share on Facebook would be doing us a huge service!
The Legend
We thank you for your support! In return we shall shout your name from all the rooftops we come across… oh, and of course Facebook!
The Admirable
"Thank you" is only the beginning! Please enjoy a digital copy of Lake Terror once the festival season is completed.
The Good Egg
Your generous donation has gone towards helping us get from A to B. Sleep easy knowing your contribution has made the film possible! To say thanks, we'll be including your name in the credits as well as bragging about you on Facebook. We'll also be sending you a hard copy of the film, signed by our very own Ben Hunter, Jack Berry, and Tim Kontaras! To top the pie, we have some Lake Terror goodies such as the official t-shirt, Lake Terror mug, and more!
The Donor
You have gone above and beyond! Please accept our sincere thanks along with the above rewards. We'd also like to send you a copy of the script AND a double pass to see a movie of your choosing!
The Benefactor
We worship the ground you walk on. For financing the elements that are integral to production, we would like to personally invite you to spend a day on set. This would mean coming down with our Zombies on Saturday June 6th where you can hang out with the cast and crew- even be in the film as an extra! (Plus all of the above)
The Executive
Ever wondered what it feels like to be a big-time Movie Producer? Because you have made such a critical pledge, we'll honour with all of the above, and a very impressive Executive Producer credit. We'll create an IMDB profile for you if you haven't one already and you'll be invited to the premiere screening in Sydney.
