This campaign seeks to attract funds towards the second stage development of my new work Heresy. We need to meet our funding target by November 1st 2013.

Heresy continues my investigation into the diffusion of disciplines in art. A dance piece, percussion recital and sculptural experiment all in one, Heresy does away with categorisation in order to re-investigate performance, action, representation, and the self. The work manifests as mythological gesture. It is theatre operating as antidote to the perils of our secular existence. It is art as ritual, meditation and collective catharsis. Heresy responds to a cultural yearning for mythology. It reawakens this with a sense of mystery about our existence- past, present and future. This is through performers entering super-human, trance-like states wrought by the body and voice and conjured from deep within the subconscious mind.
