The Pledge For Mr Bunny:

A boy's fascination with machines leads him down a path of deceit and betrayal.

The Pledge For Mr Bunny is the second short film project from Sydney filmmakers collective, Soda Honey Films. Our first short film endeavour, Lichen, has just begun it's festival circuit, playing as part of the official selection at the Warsaw Film Festival in Poland, the Baja Film Festival in Mexico, and will play at Flickerfest in Sydney in January 2013.

Our films are all privately funded - from our own bank accounts, from kind donations from family, and any other loose change we may find hiding between lint in our pockets. Now, we are hoping to maximise the marvellous potential of crowd-funding to help us add a little bit more screen cred, and well, help us finish this film!

Whether you've come to this page as a friend, family member, colleague or total stranger/potential supporter- THANK YOU.

Have a gander, get in touch, we love new people!!!

Thanks,

Soda Honey Films

THE CAST:

Tom Usher - 'Scotty'

Tom was born in Los Angeles in the shadow of the Hollywood sign in 2002 and thus acting was hardwired into his DNA. His big screen debut was in Stephan Elliott's A Few Best Men and his theatrical debut at Belvoir in Matthew Whittet's acclaimed Old Man. He is currently playing the role of Dick Thornhill in the Sydney Theatre Company's adaptation of The Secret River and will next be seen in The Landing.

Ellacoco McIver - 'Nelly'

7-year-old Ellacoco had her first screen debut as a baby in 2005, on the popular Aussie TV soap drama, Home and Away. Since then she has appeared in commercials for HBF, Woolworths and Arnotts. She loves to sing, dance and perform. She's a cutie! The Pledge For Mr Bunny is her first film.

THE TEAM:

Kevin Lim - Writer/Director

Kevin has worked in production for the past eight years having directed and produced for brands such as Coca-Cola, Nestle, Sony and MasterCard. He can often be found reading, writing impenetrable text and touching his pussy, Stanley.

April Tafe - Producer

April Hannah was named after the characters in Woody Allen's Hannah and Her Sisters. She has since spent (close to) a quarter-century of life in love with the magic of film and the beauty of a good story. She now works in television for SBS (Special Broadcasting Service) network as a Production Coordinator by day, and by night in a pub with a laptop listening to these guys.

Aaron McLisky - Director Of Photography

At the young age of nine, Aaron left his home town of Brisbane to migrate to the culturally rich islands of Indonesia where he spent the best of 10 years exploring and capturing the rich landscape with his father's vintage SLR. Aaron returned to Australia to enrol in a screen production degree at Macquarie University and upon graduation, worked as a Camera Assistant on a variety of short and long form projects. From there, Aaron went on to become a Director, Camera Operator and Editor in the advertising industry for branded content and TVCs.

Steven Kirkby - 1st Assistant Director/Bloody Legend

Steven started in news as a Cameraman before moving into editing and motion graphics. For the past few years he has worked as an Art Director for broadcast graphics, TVCs, corporates and art installations. He currently freelances for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and Channel 7 and is Kevin's best drinking buddy.

Kent Hau - Editor

Editor extraordinaire, Warhammer Lord, All-round good dude.

Bruce Heald - Composer

Bruce has been at the forefront of music for TV and advertising for over a decade producing many of Australia's best-known, award-winning scores. From the Pistols to Chopin - his superlative skills mean that no brief is too broad for Bruce to execute perfectly.

He runs the creative department at Noise where he regularly collaborates with other composers and talented musos to create magnum opi of the musical variety.
