The Australia and New Zealand Festival of Literature and Arts.

The Aus & NZ Festival is a new annual event kicking off this year from 29th May – 1st June, 2014 at King's College on The Strand. This four day festival celebrates the best literature, theatre, film and music from and about Australia and New Zealand at one of London's most valued institutions.

We are counting on your support to help promote and develop the work of Australian & New Zealand writers, artists and performers abroad. When young Kiwi Eleanor Catton scored a win with the Man Booker prize this year and Cate Blanchett picked up another Oscar - that's only the tiniest tip of a very large and talented iceberg. There's never been a better time to support our artists.

Thanks to generous government funding through the Arts Councils of Australia, New Zealand and the UK, we are off to a flying start. Now we need your help to raise the final bucks, pounds and dollars to make this first year a huge success.

We aim to raise £10,000 (approx AU$18,200 or NZ$19,400) to help with production and venue costs, marketing and publicity, and presenting our large contingent of artists and performers in the best possible light.

The Festival is a UK Registered Charity so please donate to our Pozible campaign today and you can scoop up some once in a lifetime rewards!

Delicious and Unique Rewards for Everyone

Whether you're far from home, or far from the UK, we have a range of rewards to either bring you to the festival or the festival to you. Tuck into a Tim Tam or packet of Pineapple Lumps from our tuckshop, score a secret lamington recipe or have a dozen delivered. Get front row seats to the best events and exclusive access to artists like Kathy Lette and Clive James. Can't decide what's good to read? We'll reward you with specially curated “six packs” of AusNZ/UK literature delivered to your door!

Become a Part of History

If you choose to donate to the Festival as a 'Festival Friend', 'Supporter' or 'Founding Patron', you will enjoy exclusive access to the festival and become an integral part of our plan to build a year-round platform for Australian and New Zealand artists in Europe over the next three years.

If you chose our top reward 'Founding Patron' you can choose a Festival event to be named after you, or an organisation you support! You'll go down in the Festival history books as one of the first to make a festival event "pozible" (oh yeah... we went there).

Once in a lifetime rewards - well this year at least...

There's so much to choose from no matter where you live, Australia, New Zealand, England or Antarctica! If you wish to snap up one of our rewards, but can't make it to London, why not 'gift' it to a friend or family member who can attend the festival for you? Or make it the perfect 'Christmas-in-July' present for someone in the UK? Better yet - bask in the warm glow of the Festival's success with prizes delivered to your door!

Remember - every donation supports the brilliant work of our authors and artists, no matter where you live!

How The Funds Will Be Used

Funds raised from this campaign will go towards the running costs needed to stage this Festival in its central London venue. King's College provides the perfect setting with a strong historical and literary connection through the Menzies Centre for Australian Studies.

The Festival Team has spent the last year putting together a strong program to demonstrate the breadth of talent emerging from Australia and New Zealand today. We are presenting over 100 writers, artists and speakers in 60 talks, performances and workshops over four days.

This project has been made possible to date with initial funding by the Australian Government through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body. Also Creative New Zealand is supporting the festival in its inaugural year alongside Arts Council England.

Travel and accommodation costs are a large part of any festival budget - and even more so in this case!
Funds will also be used to support production and programming costs and our schools outreach program. Money raised will also support essential Marketing and Social media campaigns to maximise attendance at the festival and secure its place on the London arts calendar.

To establish an international Festival of this scale, requires significant in-kind support and we are proud to be supported by:
Major Sponsor - Etihad Airways
and Festival partners:
Media Partner - The Times and Sunday Times
Print Partner - St Ives Plc
Bookselling Partner - Stanfords
Hotel Partner - Grange Hotels.
