D2C Information Workshop
The Australian Study Circles Network wants to facilitate an inspiring and interactive three hour Dialogue to Change Information Workshop on Thursday 27 September 2012 at the Farnham Street Neighbourhood Learning Centre, 28 Farnham Street, Flemington Melbourne 3013.The Workshop will be from 2.00pm to 5.00pm.

This Workshop is for those who want to learn more about a proven and creative community engagement technique that empowers individuals and communities alike. A D2C program results in action outcomes driven and owned by the community itself.
The Workshop is interactive and it demonstrates how to organise a D2C Program that will bring real change to your community. You will participate in a sample study circle, see and learn about local and international D2C programs as well as learn the basics of how to organise a Program for your community. Everything from experiencing a sample study circle to understanding how to organise the Program is covered in the Workshop.
See below for information on the impact the D2C Program had in Maryborough, Victoria.
Funding for this project will be used to hire rooms and equipment for the workshop. On top of this, we require the use of audio visual equipment, a digital projector, internet connection, whiteboards and flip charts.
Further funding will go towards the printing and publishing of the D2C brochure, 'D2C Organising Manual', 'Building a Stronger Community' discussion guide, training materials and refreshments.
All donations of any amount will be gratefully accepted. Funds raised additional to the original goal will go towards supporting further D2C workshops and other existing D2C initiatives.
Dialogue to Change programs are a creative way for people to share experiences, listen to ideas and work out ways to solve community problems. The programs are based on study circle methodology that uses deliberative dialogue techniques. Such programs are run in Scandinavia, and the USA where they are facilitated by Everyday Democracy.
