Awesome Foundation Melbourne is turning 3, and we want to celebrate with you!
Hosted by the good people at Pozible at their new Collingwood offices, we want to celebrate the last 3 years of Awesome Foundation Melbourne with a birthday party. Have a drink or two with us and sit back and relax as we wish ourselves happy birthday. In between the good people, free alcohol and fun times, the recipient of our $3000 mega grant will be announced and voted upon on the night, and you're involved. Your pledge will give you one vote to decide the winner of the Awesome mega grant.
If you like face painting, live music from DJs and bands, balloon animals, cake, and giving grants to awesome projects, come down and celebrate with us! We only have 150 tickets, so don't miss out!

We are an ever-growing, worldwide network of people devoted to forwarding the interest of awesomeness in the universe. Created in the long hot summer days of 2009 in Boston, the Foundation distributes a series of monthly $1,000 grants to projects and their creators. The money is pooled together from the coffers of ten or so self-organizing “micro-trustees” and given upfront in cash, check, or gold doubloons.
The Melbourne chapter of Awesome Foundation has been around since 2011, and since then has given grants to gypsy wagons for disabled transport, radio stations, dog coats for pounds, and everything in between. The Foundation provides these grants with no strings attached and claims no ownership over the projects it supports. It is, in the words of one of our trustees, a micro-genius grant for flashes of micro-brilliance.

How The Funds Will Be Used
All the funds raised will go directly to making our awesome birthday party as awesome as possible. This includes paying for DJs, balloon twisters, face painters, alcohol and everything else between.
