One Big Hug Project
Now who doesn’t love a good hug? What’s even better is when someone stretches out their arms, and gives you that hug and then says “I want to help you.”
With this project that’s what I aim to do, but in a round about way. Curious?
Recently I began organising a HuggFest Mini Music Festival which is on the 3rd August. I said to myself I need merchandise to sell on the day. Thinking Thinking Thinking ... it came to me to not only produce merchandising but to involve the Rengensis Youth Creative.
“The What?” you ask.
The Regenesis Youth Creative gets teens back on track with their education. Some of these teens aged from 15 to 18 are incredibly talented individuals who need guidance and encouragement to continue their educations. Peter Tattersall has given them this opportunity. Many are from broken homes, have been bullied and have mental issues that makes it difficult to stay in school.
So where do I come in. Well, back to the merchandising for the HuggFest Mini Music Festival (3rd August if you’ve already forgotten, in Avalon see attached poster), My idea is to provide the cash to get the kids involved by learning from beginning to end in the small business venture I call the “One Big Hug Project”.
The object is to guide them through this small business enterprise in a limited time frame. Finding the resources to buy plain t-shirts, design the print, find a t-shirt printer, make the labels, do a budget to work out how much to spend per item and how much to sell them for for a profit. This will also apply to mugs, keyrings, bookmarks and whatever other avenue of merchandise they can think of. The theme is Hugs and under the banner of HuggFest (www.huggfest.com)
They then have the opportunity of selling these Items at the Huggfest Mini Music Festival and all proceeds will go to the kids to help them buy items for their school.
The HuggFest Mini Music Festival is a platform to sell the merchandise but I have organised this event to generate money to set up a music program for Regenesis.
So then I thought how do I raise the funds to help them with this goal. POZIBLE of course!!!
The goal $3000. The time 30 days and you can help me by embracing the youth of today and guide them through this project and they will appreciate your contribution and the rewards will be as priceless as a hug.
If you wish to read more about the Regenesis Youth Creative go to www.regenesiscreatives.com and it will tell you all you need to know.
