OPEN SWIMMER is the banner above songwriter Ben TD and those that accompany him. After 7 years writing and performing in the frost of Glasgow, Ben has reappeared on Australian shores with a stunning album that melts the boundaries of pop. Having recorded with magical producer, Nick Huggins, and gathered a beautiful band around the music it is now time to release it and release it well. With gorgeous artwork from Glasgow designer, Alan Cameron, it will be a delight to hold a physical copy of the album.
Ben is joined by an amazingly talented and beautiful band, made up of Peter Emptage, Chris Bolton, Bec Rigby and Aaron Silver. They are all part of other awesome musical projects in Melbourne and their presence in this band is hands down cherished to no end!
Open Swimmer are in talks with brilliant music video director, Alice Glenn, to create a fun and beautiful visual treat to accompany the forthcoming lead single SUGAR BOWL, which, although it will be completed on a relatively small budget, will benefit from some vital funds to make it worth while..
We have lately realised the importance of releasing an album well. With your help, this beautiful album can get the promotion it deserves and might not just slip in to oblivion. Let's help it be heard by as many people as possible.

The Challenges
The major obstacle we can foresee is to gain enough exposure for the album that it is received by a varied demographic and appreciated worldwide. We are conscious that to achieve this it is important to include a broad accessibility upon its release. This is one of the reasons it will be released in multiple formats, including vinyl, cd, download and live performance.

Full Band House Concert
Open Swimmer will play a full band set at your house in 2015. You can invite as many people as you want and charge a fee if you wish. We will organise a support act that you're happy with, too. There are only four of these available. Also you get a copy of the record and a digital download. AUSTRALIA ONLY (If outside of Victoria the date of the concert will be subject to when the band is touring in your state and may possibly lead in to 2016. We'll be in touch via email.)

Canyon Scroggin
We will organise a day walk in Victoria. When we reach our destination, we'll perform an outdoor acoustic set of six songs from the album. We'll provide a picnic for us and you and two friends. Invite as many people as you want. + 1x Album + 1x double pass to album launch. (We can only make enough of a picnic for you and two friends. If you invite more people we'll have more of a bring a plate style picnic.) (Also, if there's driving involved, we can only take you and two friends.)

We will write a song based on a topic of your choosing (your life, someone else's life, your cat). We'll record a demo of it for you and perform it at at least one gig (that we'll make sure you're at).
