Help get Tell Tails out of Tas!
If you could give the person you love the most one message, what would it be?
When it's time to escape the island, how do you fit the most beautiful place in the world into only one bag?
Just what would it be like to go on a romantic date?
When you have to crawl over broken glass (literally) to find the answers, will it all be worth it?

Tell Tails first sparked into life in 2010 while I was undertaking an artist residency in Latvia. In 2011 I participated in a JUMP Mentorship with Jodie Farrugia where we worked on early development of scenes from some of my grannies stories. I then attended the 2012 Tasmania Performs artist residency where I developed a solid plan for completing the show, this included some basic goals of finding a creative team, money to pay them and a fantastic festival to launch at. In 2013 I successfully gained the basic funding I needed from Arts Tasmania to bring on board director Kelly Drummond- Cawthon, composer Heath Brown and lighting designer Jason James. Rehearsals are now underway and the show is set to premier at the Peacock Theatre in Hobart on the 11th of September 2014.
The Butterfly Club have committed to hosting Tell Tails as a headlining show at this years Melbourne Fringe Festival and I am seeking financial support from the community to assist me in this first step of getting my show out of Tasmania to the world. I believe that this step will be the springboard I need to gain national and international touring to theatres and festivals.
How The Funds Will Be Used
$300 - Petrol (transit van: approx 700km @ 40cents per KM)
$500 - Freight (Ferry Devenport - Melbourne return)
$100 - Travel (in Melbourne @ $10 per day)
$500 - Accommodation (@ $50 per day)
$500 - Living allowance (40 meals approx @ 12.5 each)
$100 - Phone and internet (media and publicity)
$300 - Film and photography documentation
$200 - Project fees
$2500 - TOTAL
If we raise more than my target, additional money will go towards reimbursing myself and my crew for the endless hours and equipment that we have each committed to this project - that is an amazing thought!
