Help burlesque duo THE BOTTLED BLONDES take their kit off in public – by providing them with the funds to MAKE their kit first!

Hi! Welcome to the wonderful world of The Bottled Blondes – a new burlesque duo based in Adelaide, South Australia, featuring the vintage stylings of blonde bombshells Stiletto Star (aka Brittany Radcliffe) and Lulu Lamarr (aka Caitlin Hall).

We are currently crowdsourcing funds to help stage our latest burlesque routine, One Plus One - an elaborate Las Vegas showgirl-inspired number performed to the song One (Finale) from the beloved stage musical A Chorus Line. The premiere performance of One Plus One will take place at the Bloomers New Burlesque showcase in Adelaide at the start of June 2012, after which we aim to enter the routine into the Newcomers competition at the Australian Burlesque Festival in Melbourne in 2013.

So why do we need your help to take our kit off in public? Well, believe it or not, but burlesque is an expensive business! All those rhinestones, feathers, elaborate corsets and fabulous shoes don’t come cheap, darlings! At the moment we require a minimum of $500 to help create our amazing costumes (those huge, feathered Vegas showgirl headdresses cost more than a week at the casino, trust us), and to pay for rehearsal space and private tuition sessions with an experienced burlesque choreographer. We're not seeking a huge amount of money - just enough to get us over the line and into our sparkly, bedazzled “smalls”, ensuring that the new Bottled Blondes routine will be a truly spectacular showstopper!

With a father from southern Louisiana and a mother from an elegant chateau near Paris, Stiletto Star was, as her name suggests, born to be one thing only – a star! With a background in Latin and Ballroom dancing, Stiletto began her career performing in sultry New Orleans bars before hotfooting it towards the glittering lights of Paris, where she soon became a leading light of the French cabaret scene. After touring the Mediterranean and performing sell-out shows on the West End and Broadway, Stiletto brought her most famous act – that of a mischievous French maid – Down Under, with her critically acclaimed Australian debut taking place at Adelaide’s Nexus Cabaret in November 2011. Soon afterwards, Stiletto Star partnered up with fellow blonde bombshell Lulu Lamarr to create the sensational new burlesque duo The Bottled Blondes. Stiletto Star now hopes to continue her performance career in Australia, both as a solo artist and member of The Bottled Blondes, tantalising audiences with her poise, allure and starry blue eyes!

Born in the cloakroom of a smoky cabaret in Weimar-era Berlin, Lulu Lamarr was raised in a bohemian German household where her love of the stage was nurtured from a young age. Distantly related to Hedy Lamarr – one of the most renowned beauties from the Golden Age of Hollywood as well as the inventor of early wireless communication technology – Lulu is similarly a woman of contradictions: sultry and sensuous one minute, cheeky and farcical the next! A long-time Swing and Blues dancer who shimmied her way from the refined salons of Vienna and smoky wine bars of Prague to the bright lights and razzle-dazzle of London’s West End, Lulu recently decided to bring her one woman show to the wild shores of Australia, teaming up with fellow cabaret sensation Stiletto Star to form the burlesque double-act The Bottled Blondes. With her trademark platinum blonde bob and mile-wide smile, Lulu Lamarr is one burlesque bombshell with her star on the rise!
