I'm incredibly excited to start working on this project.
THE NYC+SYD MUSIC VIDEO PROJECT//
In June/July I'm lucky enough to be heading to NYC for a month and myself and Director Jake Weisz (No Other Plan music video) have been organising the beginnings of a great conceptual music video for a new single off my upcoming EP (being worked on AS WE SPEAK...READ?), the single will feature a very special guest artist and as a backer, you'll be one of the first to know it all!
The music video follows a boy living in NYC and a girl living in Sydney, their stories are both interweaved and yet contrasted in ways that will seem both incredibly familiar and yet foreign to all of us.
We will continuously update our backers with more info and storyline!
CROWDFUNDING + REWARDS
Being an up and coming artist, unfortunately we can't always fund everything ourselves.
Usually this would mean we'd have to find label or investor backing, but thankfully there's a new way to fund these projects while staying independent!
Crowd-funding.
While we're asking for $2,500, the overall project cost will be about $5,000.
I myself am putting up half the money, however every dollar over $2,500 that we raise will extend the possibilities of the project.
In other words, the more we raise, the more amazing we can make this music video and the more we can offer you guys in return :)
For each donation there's a reward, the more generous, the more unique the reward is.
Everybody who donates WILL get a pre-release viewing of the music video + a free pre-release download of the single. As well as v-blog updates from NYC and exclusive Brooklyn rooftop performance videos.
ON TOP OF THAT anyone who donates over $20 will get a download of a completely exclusive self-produced EP, only to be released to backers of this project.
There are other great rewards including physicals of both EPs, signed merch, a living room concert,
EVEN A ONE OFF... My beloved guitar complete with crazy rambling writings on the back that I've inscribed over the years.
