Kiss Me Like You Mean It is a play written by UK playwrite Chris Chibnall. It's set on a hot summer's night at the tail end of a rocking party in a terrace house in Manchester. In that house are Ruth, Tony, Don and Edie. All of them are partying hard, but what will be revealed when the dawn breaks?

Carly and Rob have lived in the UK and feel very nostalgic about their time there. When Rob discovered Kiss Me Like You Mean It two years ago and approached Carly to produce it, they couldn't resist reliving their enthusiasm for all things British. 

In fact, they loved it so much they've decided to get on with it, skip the long winded grant process and personally invest in the play. As well as the money, they've booked the venue, found the director and assembled a talented cast and crew and have the support of well-established arts organisations. They're ready to start rehearsals in early December.

With your help and your pledge they're sure to produce a wonderful play that people from all walks of life will love...because it's about love, and who doesn't love love right?

MARC Up is a new Melbourne based theatre partnership of Rob Gaetano and Carly Shaw. MARC Up makes theatre to tell stories about people, places and moments we love. Our work is very personal, magical and sometimes heartbreaking.  

Rob is an experienced theatre maker and actor and has recently performed in his devised physical theatre production My Pet, My Love at La Mama Theatre. Carly is a an actor and producer, with 15 years corporate experience in communications. She has recently appeared in Lounge Theatre and various short films. Together they trained at the National Theatre Drama School for three years.

Kiss Me Like You Mean It is their first play produced together. And this is just the beginning - we have some great plays planned in 2013. We can't wait to have you join the MARC Up crew.
