'Last Ditch' is a short dark comedy made by Carol and Ray (with the help of an amazing team), about Ellen.
After an affair with her sleazy boss, Ellen is divorced and humiliated, and when life can’t get worse, she loses custody of her son. With her dignity hanging on by a thread, her life is about to take a sudden turn.
We’re Carol and Ray, and we LOVE making films.
We especially like making films together. Ray is the writer/director/editor (responsible for making sure the film is good) and Carol is the producer (who makes sure the film actually gets made). Last year, we made a short thriller and it won the 'Best Producer' and 'Best Editor' award at our graduate screening!
Our dream is to one day get paid to make amazing films together that get seen by all the people! 'Last Ditch' is just one of the many steps in achieving this crazy dream.

'Last Ditch' has been shot and, we'll be modest here, it’s totally amazing. We spent 6 long months in pre-production working non-stop to make sure we had a great script, amazing actors to bring that script to life and a crew whose mission was to make sure the film looks and sounds good!

Here’s the deal: making movies, even short ones, costs A LOT of money… Crazy right?! Even though we’ve already paid for the production itself, there’s a way to go before the film is actually finished.
In all seriousness, we need $3000 to finish the film and enter it into some festivals. That way the movie can get seen, and Hollywood will be like ‘Woah, these guys are awesome - let’s stop development on Fast & Furious 40.'
The more money we can raise, the more awesome we can make the film, and the higher our chances are of getting the film seen. Here are some examples of what we'll do if we go ABOVE AND BEYOND!

This is an “all-or-nothing” fundraiser, which means we only get any money if we reach our goal within the timeframe set. So if we raise $2999 of our $3000 goal and run out of time, we don’t get ANY of it! For that reason, your credit card won’t actually be charged until we reach the goal.
