Behind The Story
As a survivor of Ovarian Cancer I know how hard it is and how difficult it is to detect. I see pink ribbons everywhere but hardly ever see any teal and decided that it is time to raise the awareness.
Teal Soldiers follows the story of a woman diagnosed with ovarian cancer and the other women that she meets along her roller coaster journey.
A 30% chance of survival. Now nearly 20 years later there is still not the awareness or early detection that ovarian cancer so desperately needs and I hope that through this short film I can make a difference and get the word out there.
Losing hair was difficult but losing friends was harder. With better treatments and earlier detection I hope to help achieve the dream of a cure and hope that other women do not have to suffer the same.

How The Funds Will Be Used
Producing a film can be quiet costly. Funds from this campaign will go towards a number of different areas. Most importantly the following.
Location hire- A production with this message need a few hard to get locations
Catering- It's a long hard day on set and feeding the cast and crew is of utmost impoartance
Equipment Hire- Having the right sound, lighting and camera equipment are what really makes a production stand out.
Distribution- Without getting the film out there the message won't be shared like we really need it to.

There are many challenges that can arise when filming but with the experience behind those attached and the high caliber of talent in Brisbane that we plan to recruit for the remaining roles any challenge that will arise can be over come.
