5 Walking Walls
5 Walking Walls is a five part interactive web-series documenting the
process behind some of Australia’s most talented street artists. Over the
course of 2013 these artists will create five new large-scale public artworks
in undisclosed locations across Australia. In the weeks leading up to the online
launch of each mini-doc, the audience will be invited to find the physical
location of the featured wall through a series of clues ‘leaked’ via social
media. Audience members who crack the code and find the physical locations will
be given exclusive access to otherwise unavailable content and prizes. Additionally audience members who make their way to the
physical locations will be encouraged to ‘capture’ the artwork in their own
unique way and submit their work to be featured on 5 Walking Walls web page.
But this project cannot happen without YOU!
To produce this series to a standard worthy of the art these guys produce will not be cheap. So we are offering some amazing rewards to encouarge you to get onboard - from walking tours with the artists, signed limited edition postcards, prints, custom art, large scale collectable artworks, and even the chance to have your name tattooed on one of the artists!! The money we raise will be going into the best DOP's, sound guys, editors, web developers and also will be covering travel costs. The total budget required to make this project happen is $56,000 - and we are trying to crowdsource $14,000 of that total. Screenwest has selected '5 Walking Walls' as a project that is eligible for their 3 to 1 fundraising initiative. This is amazing as for every dollar you give, Screenwest will match it with $3 (ie a $250 pledge from you = $1000 for the project!). This is amazing but.......
.....WE MUST RAISE THE $14K AS QUICKLY AS POZIBLE!!!!
If we don't hit our crowdsourcing goal quickly we could end up with nothing from Screenwest!! There are approximately 25 other projects in a dash for the Screenwest cash - and whoever hits their crowdsource goal quickest will get access to the limited pool of funds.
So what happens if we reach our goal but the Screenwest funding is already gone?
PLAN B
If we hit our $14K goal after the Screenwest funding has depleted we will be implementing our Plan B project. Our plan B project will essentially see 5 Walking Walls simplified into '1 Walking Wall'. Same premise, same project, but only one artist will be featured.
But '1 Walking Wall' simply doesn't have the same ring to it so please get on onboard quickly!!! This is an unprecedented opportunity to gain access to some of Australia's most talented street artists and help bring a unique project to life!
