Chloe Gill

Chloe Gill is an independent Folk Rock artist based in Newcastle, Australia, proudly announcing the release of her debut album, ‘I Have A Habit Of Dreaming’. This ten track release marks a pivotal new chapter in her artistic career, drawing on Chloe’s bittersweet journey following a late ADHD diagnosis at the age of 20 and learning how to love oneself through growth. The album explored themes of this metamorphosis through growth, love, heartbreak, happiness and celebrating neurodivergence. 

‘Something In The Winter’ was the first single to be shared from the album project. The track delves into the feeling of being "too much" or "not right." Discovering her ADHD at 20 brought a mixture of emotions—cheated by the years of unanswered questions, yet also relieved to finally understand herself. The past two years have been transformative for Chloe, marked by abnormal challenges and growth.

Looking ahead with a mindset of personal growth, the songs capture her strength around a strange yet comforting sensation of rediscovering herself at a crucial time in her life and embracing the uncertainty of what lies ahead. ‘I Have A Habit Of Dreaming’ represents Chloe’s journey through neurodivergence, her career as an independent and deeply passionate artist and she hopes it will resonate with others who feel similarly, offering them a sense of connection and understanding.

The project deeply highlights Chloe’s growth as a songwriter, collaborator and self-producer, showcasing her evolving skills and deepening connection to her music. Working closely with local Newcastle producer Gareth Hudson, Hazy Cosmic Jive (Amy Vee, Piper Butcher and Buddy Knox). The album features collaborations with her band, made up of incredible talent; Jesse O’Neill Hutchin (Brad Cox and Austin Mackay), Eli Love (The Appointments) and Brandon Yarnold. She is filled with hope and excitement for the future, eager to share these songs that speak from the heart and resonate with her listeners. This release serves as a celebration for self love and growth, for anyone, neurodivergent or not, who has ever felt different or out of place in the world.

Chloe Gill is a sophisticated artist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter unafraid to keep her music raw and authentic.
