The Travelling Salesman' is a short narrative drama from Swinburne University Film & Television graduate students. It tells the tale of recently widowed Ash, who is contacted by a mysterious salesman and offered a deal with the Devil; to live out his days on Earth with his wife in exchange for his soul. Meanwhile, in his office, Satan is confronted by the archangels Gabriel and Michael, who fear his dealings on Earth which violate an agreement between him and God, will spark a second war between Heaven and Hell.

'The Travelling Salesman' is set in some expensive locations, so a large chunk of the money we raise will be put towards venue hire. We also have a fairly expensive art department, as we are dressing our office scene 1950s style - think Mad Men! A considerable amount of money will be spent on props and wardrobe, as well as lenses & camera department hire, catering, travel & transport costs, a professional colour grade, and DVD & printing costs. 

We will also be spending money entering the film into festivals later in the year and next year.

Our target is set at approximately 30% of our total budget, and the rest will be largely self-funded. Your generous donations will help us to fulfil our vision to a high standard and make the best film possible. You can also show your support by liking our Facebook page. We will be posting regular updates and photos of during pre-production, production and post-production. 

As with any film there are challenges to overcome. We have a tight schedule and a tight budget, and have to completely dress a location to look like an office out of the 50s. This takes time sourcing props and furniture, and costs a fair amount of money. We will be shooting in four different locations around Melbourne, so finding the perfect locations which fit into our budget and schedule is always a challenge.

Of course, a major challenge is raising enough money to make this film! This is where we need your support - please help us make 'The Travelling Salesman' as successful as possible.
