The man in the grass
A study of ordinary absurdity. Shot on 16mm.

Come to the cinema launch party in Melbourne. We can't do it without you.
The film was shot in 4 days. It is edited and the sound is mixed.
It is 13 minutes and we think it's a terrific little movie.
It is amusing and perplexing. It will intrigue and infuriate.
We have exciting music by Shellac, Rex and Chris Smith.
We have fabulous performances from TV Moore, Rachel Blackman, Marin Mimica, Nadine Garner and Bartholemew Rose.
The cost to this point has been $15,000.
Private cash, none of it from the government.
Is this a good thing? Maybe.
The colour reversal 16mm film original needs to be run through a high resolution scanner, the shots extracted and reassembled, colour graded, titles designed and inserted, audio re-synched, and then the whole lot sent back out to tape as a high definition master.
We need $3,000 at the very minimum to get the thing properly scanned and put together.
Then we can get it out to the film festivals.
Our plan in that regard is to give ourselves 12 months to send it out to them all. The big ones - Cannes, Venice - the interesting ones - Sundance and Berlin - and the others in-between.
Thank you.
