Humans vs Zombies Melbourne have run three annual events, and are looking to hold our fourth late this year.
...but this new party is one that's going to be a little different...NerfCore is the brains of Rumble in the Jungle- Melbourne's first warehouse party featuring a NERF room.
So, you're watching Zombieland, any of the 28 Days/Weeks/Months Later films, or even just Bong of the Dead, and you think to yourself "damn, why would you do it like that? You fools... you're going to be killed!" (or something along those lines, possibly with more vulgarity). You begin planning what you'd do when the zombies inevitably arrive.
The movie ends and you switch on the news to see yet another "bath salts" (that's what they're calling it, hey?) induced attack. This time, the guy's flesh is falling from his skin. You begin thinking about your plan again.
You tell it to your friends the next day as you show up with a knapsack full of tinned food and they think you're mad. But are you? No, surely not. You're just passionate. You begin some cardio (Rule #1) exercises... but it doesn't seem to fill you with the adrenalin you want.
You look up things online. Obviously, that's when you found us.
HUMANS VS ZOMBIES MELBOURNE
+NERFCORE 2012 CAMPING TRIP 18+
We get it. Truly- we do. And we're not really your run-of-the-mill D&D fantasy nerds. Or we don't like to think we are. We're more so a group of people aged between 13 and 60 who just think preparing against zombies, modding Nerf guns, and playing duck duck goose just happens to be a whole lot of fun. So we do it once a month, and more famously, for one week each year, and have managed to pull in a great big community of like-minded individuals who seem to think it's a good idea, too.
If that doesn't appeal to you, we're also going to have a big-ass party.
Where the budget goes:
As it costs a lot of money for both public liability insurance (up to $2000), hiring a campground (depends on numbers, anywhere up to $2500), and general expenses, we simply don't have the money to book everything in advance.
So, if you guys pledge the money to buy a ticket, we supply the camping trip once we've reached the goal.
We will be providing some food, prizes, some Nerf, tents to those who require them, safety, music, good times, (great classic hits!) shelter, and a hell of a lot of surprises... heh heh heh.
UPDATE:
