Coreprêt is throwing an Office Party. 

And just like all great office parties this one will offer you the chance to awkwardly mingle with people you don’t really know with the added possibility of getting into compromising conversations in the vicinity of a water cooler.

Never heard of Coreprêt? 

Well….

W H A T 

is Coreprêt?

Corêpret is the brainchild of Nessie Croft and Gabrielle Leavesley born from the lack of enthusiasm (and job offers) from prospective employers.

It is a progressive, strong and independent brand, which merges two design methodologies to find unity through a shared vision of the Australian social landscape. By only using up-cycled textiles, unused factory surplus and organic fibres, this ongoing project aims to challenge the current market by encouraging change, specifically within the fashion industry (locally and globally). Our first body of work that will be on show near the water cooler, offers an alternate business model to fast paced consumerism by creating unique one off pieces that generate emotional connectivity and a sense of identity.

W H Y

We are passionate advocates for change  and we believe that it is important to provide a dazzling, yet comfortable environment in which you can interact with our work and discuss the issues surrounding the current fashion and textile industry. The collection will be for sale on the night of the Office Party and during the weeks that follow (more details to be found in our Coreprêt handbook available on the night). 

We would also like the chance to discuss, possibly at length, the ways in which we are working towards a more progressive industry, and the ways in which you can help. 

If that doesn’t float your boat we want to at least provide you with a bit of light hearted entertainment on a Friday night that dabbles in some more political issues.

Any showcase takes time, team-effort, and funds to stage.

As recent fashion graduates we are overflowing with creativity, passion and ideas, but the struggle is real when it comes to finances. This showcase could be the beginning of something very special and we ‘re hoping you take a chance on us (financially). Alternatively, if your wallet is feeling rather light and you have relevant skills up for grabs, shoot us an email!

We do not profess to know everything, but we are making a contribution towards a shift in consumer and designer mentality and the conversation around sustainable fashion.  

With this in mind, we are incredibly excited for the challenge and we would be exceedingly grateful for any contribution!
