Daisy Sanders

Daisy Sanders and Shuling Wong are first year graduates out of performing arts school (WAAPA) and have spent the year co-devising a full length dance theatre piece called STATUS ROOM. The research and creative development has included dance, writing, improvising, choreographing, scripting and...posting as each other for a month on Facebook! They've been closely guided by two incredible artists, director Jo Pollitt and guest mentor Alex Harrison who flew over from Melbourne. It's been an awesome roller coaster of learning and will culminate soon with the public presentation of this exciting new work. 

This is visceral storytelling, embodiment is the main communicator. Two very different young women ask us to contemplate whether sharing and exposing ourselves (in person and online) makes us more vulnerable or more connected.

STATUS ROOM opens in one week at The Blueroom Theatre, Perth, as part of Season 2, 2014. On the last stretch of getting this show to performance standard, the Pozible funds will go towards remaining set and costume items, program materials and archival filming. Please, please help us to get just over the line; we're so, so close!
