It has probably happened to you at least once to be in an unsafe, dangerous place, which you would definitely not go there if you knew the situation. However, once you left the place safely or something unpleasant happened to you (hope never did), you would try to explain your friends and family and aware them about the place, and advise them not to go there or at least do it with a company. But, what about those sort of places that none of your family and friends are aware of? Is it worth it to take a big risk every time we would want to/have to visit an unknown place? Wouldn’t be awesome if you could be in touch with the whole city/country/planet to get updated and update them about safety level of places or even more?!! 





Unfortunately, every single day, we hear about crimes such as raping, rubbery, kidnapping, murder, and, sadly, many more happening, AND many of them are in similar areas and situations; what I'm trying to say is people get hurt constantly in the same way just because victims and witnesses were not able to shout the danger out to everyone. I used to live in one of the capital cities, which has lately become more and more unsafe and I constantly heard about friends got their bags snatched, sexually harassed, etc.. Some of the cases were even in neighborhoods which are considered as highly safe; however, it would happen to them in just particular short walkways and I was always thinking how great it would be if we could let everybody know about it so that we could save hundreds and thousands of people in that area!


So, what is the solution?

To address this serious issue worldwide, I decided to build a mobile app that allows people to add their reviews, safety ratings and some details about their experience in a certain area that they have recently been to.



By doing so, anyone in the world could search the area through the app, read the reviews and safety ratings, even get some information about what kind of safety issues they might face with BEFORE they get into an unpleasant situation, or get hurt. The rest of the story and how to cope with it is not a mystery anymore!

Next step after Safely app is available

The funds will be spent on software development and coding of the app as well as server and basic infrastructure requirements. Any funds raised over our target will be used to cover maintenance cost and improvements on server to provide a higher quality service.

The main challenge would be to educate users to get used to leaving their reviews as a payback to other users who have helped them the same way. In addition, users need to provide their reviews and ratings without bias or their own condition but to imagine how the place would feel for any kind of individuals (e.g. females, children, disables, pets, etc.).
