The Act-O-Matic 3000 is staging the Victorian premiere of Laura Wade’s chilling black comedy ‘Breathing Corpses.’
In order to effectively produce this play, and continue bringing new theatre from around the world to Melbourne stages, the Act-O-Matic 3000 hope to raise the necessary funds through Pozible – and you, our generous support network!
The show is opening May 5, so there is not much time. If you can spare a few dollars, it will help enormously, as the Act-O-Matic 3000 is a not for profit company. Ticket sales go back to the company, or to guest artists, enabling the company to keep on providing opportunities for actors, writers, techs and directors to exercise their skills. Our existence, like many other independent arts organisations, is a relatively small yet essential part of Melbourne's thriving cultural eco-system.
Now, there ain't much time, so please get generous today!

Victorian Premiere
This is a tight, tense play. The tension, the emotions and the sense of absurdity and fear are brilliantly handled ... A terrifying tour de force.
- The Sunday Times (London)
When one person dies, how many suffer? How many care?
A hotel cleaner finds another checked-out customer. A man and his abusive girlfriend discover what he would kill for. A couple learn that death is bad for business.
In Laura Wade's taut black comedy Breathing Corpses, the cycle of life unravels when three stories intersect at a deadly crossroad.
Amy is a cleaner who longs for attention in her quiet, lonely life. She could never imagine the impact she has on Kate and her boyfriend, and that one of them will meet Jim at his Self-Storage business, changing his life forever.
The Act-O-Matic 3000 Theatre (...a talented, hard-working actors' company - The Age) is proud to present the macabre theatrical wit of the UK's hottest young playwright.
