Hi there!

We are a young couple living on the Gold Coast who have been in the film industry for a number of years as actors and we have decided to make our first short film and enter it in Tropfest 2013.
We are very passionate about the film industry and entertaining audiences through film.



The story was written by us and we believe it is very unique, entertaining and we hope to make the Tropfest finals so our film can be seen by the country.

WHAT MAKES THE STORY INTERESTING?

"WILD" follows the story of two, twenty something year olds who were abandoned in the Australian outback, by their parents as kids. They have survived knowing only each other and the survival skills they taught themselves. when they, by chance, find a small country town the world they knew suddenly changes. Bella and Michael are forced with the challenge of adapting to a technological world. When found by a local cop, instead of taking them to the police station he does the opposite and takes them home to his surprised wife. We wont give all the plot away, but supporters will get a copy of the finished film as thanks for their kindness in helping us make our dreams come true as actors and film makers.

HOW DO OUR HEROS REACT WHEN THE WORLD THEY LEFT BEHIND AS CHILDREN HAS FOUND ITS WAY BACK TO THEM? ARE THEY READY FOR THE NEW AGE OF TECHNOLOGY?

What really interested me was when I heard the story about a Viennese man (41) and his father (82) who have recently been found living wild in the jungle, after they ran away from a bomb explosion during Vietnams war with the USA, 40 years ago.

I find the story of the father, son duo amazing and what Bella and Michael go through is very much the same. I would like to keep the realism of my film "wild" as close to what this farther and son went through when suddenly brought back to civilization.

Local Locations
As we are locals of the Gold Coast we are keeping the filming local. Our Cafe scene will be shot in Nerang at the well loved Caffe Chino. Thankyou to Rod for his support in letting us film at his Cafe. We also can't wait to grab a lovely coffee and a bite to eat fom their yummy selection of food when we start filming at 5.30am :)

Going Location Scouting

Daniel Nelson who is producer, director and actor is also an artist with his work ranging from storyboard work to logos and portraits. The obstacles with this project are not having the funds to pay an industry professional crew.
We will be using one local shop owners coffee shop to film one of the scenes during trading hours which could cause angry customers and loss of business for the owner, some compensation may be needed.
