Hi Jazz fans!
This year my Hammond Organ Trio have been playing every week at the fabulous Playbar in Surry Hills. As you might imagine, having a regular gig has been fantastic for us musically and as a result the trio is sounding great! The trio consists of:
Darren Heinrich - Organ
Sam Rollings - Guitar
Tim Firth - Drums
Here's two examples from the session - the mix is just at the demo stage, but you will get the idea:
The Scorpion - by Leon Spencer Jr (made famous by Lou Donaldson)
Jingles - by Wes Montgomery
We have recorded 13 tracks that we would like to release on CD. This includes 3 original tracks of mine, plus tunes made famous by Dr. Lonnie Smith, Lou Donaldson, Peter Bernstein, Stanley Turrentine, Don Patterson and Wes Montgomery. This is Soul Jazz and if you like groove-based music then I'm sure you'll dig this.
We have funded the recording session ourselves, and now we need a little help to mix, master, press and promote the music of which we are extremely proud. It's literally the album I've always wanted to make!

The Challenges
The only real risks to this project are delays in pressing. If this happens we will be in touch with our backers to keep them informed every step of the way.
