'House of Lee’ is a black comedy horror about Chinese food, gangsters and 21st century race relations. It's mainly about Chinese food and gangsters though.
Two thugs, Tony and Jez, go to a Chinese restaurant that’s rumoured to serve the best sweet and sour pork in town. The owner, Mr Lee, and his daughter, Lucy, are none too pleased to see thugs come in and act as though they run the joint. They decide to take matters into their own hands and serve the two men a dish they’ll never forget. Because when push comes to shove comes to stab, we’re all just animals.

WHY ARE WE MAKING THIS FILM?
The only motivation we have is to make the best film Pozible (obligatory) and to showcase some young, local filmmaking talent. We want to make something that’s entertaining, twisted and will linger with all of you, even when you leave the theatre. This isn’t a university assignment so we’re only doing this because we want to. And we want to do the greatest Pozible (sorry, did it again) job that we can.

FILM'S PROGRESS AND SCHEDULE
The script is finished, the cast and crew have been assembled, and the locations are locked in. We're about to start shooting on the 19th of August with the final day of shooting on the 26th of August. We aim to have the film completed by the end of October and then we can start entering festivals. Your funds are crucial in every step of the filmmaking process.
