Untouched wilderness areas are fast becoming a thing of the past and Australia's offshore marine environments are not immune.
Bremer Canyon, located some 60 kilometres off the remote West Australian south coast seasonally plays host to an incredible variety of marine life including dozens of killer whales, sharks, tuna and seabirds.

800 metres below is an enormous deposit of oil, a resource that has being noticed by interested industrial developers.
In 2013 we produced a film for Smithsonian USA entitled "Hunt for the Super Predator" which highlighted this amazing ecosystem to a global television audience.

2014-15 saw us produce a sequel for Discovery Channel and also the commencement of our community funded scientific expeditions to the site.

To date, the generosity of past expeditioners has allowed us to keep a spotlight firmly on this remarkable location with over 100 daily excursions to the site throughout 2014 and 2015.

January 15th 2016 will see the re-commencement of daily expeditions and we are once again offering expeditioners the chance to come on board and witness the spectacle firsthand.

Community support for this project has been extremely positive and we hope 2016 will be no different as the future of Bremer Canyon's marine life depends on it..

How The Funds Will Be Used

The vessels we are using to traverse to the site are large and expensive to operate, coupled with the fact we are only running them at half capacity (half the number of passengers we could carry (so as to accommodate scientists and researchers) means there is very little if any profit to be made from the expeditions.
Being documentary makers we are producing another film during the course of 2016 and HOPEFULLY we will be able to benefit through its sale to an international Television Broadcaster.
Additionally, everyone coming on board via this campaign will receive a rough cut version of the film that we produce in 2016.

The Challenges

The project is reliant on Australian and international community members pledging to come on board one or more excursions in order for us to successfully undertake our 2016 series of expeditions.
We are offering the minimum amount of seats necessary to undertake the daily expeditions in order to give our Pozible campaign the best possible chance of success.
