The Whale Whisperers
Feature Documentary 100 minutes with Live Streaming elements.
The Whale Whisperers is a mysterious journey to the final frontier of the natural world, communicating telepathically with animals. For thousands of years indigenous people have had a close and intimate relationship with nature. Some of the elders and shamans of the tribes, to this day, communicate telepathically not only with animals but the plant and spirit world as well.
The Whale Whisperers is the personal journey of filmmaker and environmental activist Dean Jefferys as he travels the world to seek out these Shamans and Animal Communicators. He will learn and refine the process of telepathic communication with animals and through this exchange allow these animals to express their reality and message to humanity
.

The Whale Whisperers journey deep into the Amazon jungle to meet and train with a shaman who is already trained to communicate telepathically with river Dolphins, Jaguars and other animals using the visionary plant brew called Ayahuasca. Dean then travels to Africa, to meet an Animal Communicator and participate an an Animal Communication workshop.
Dean intends to invite a world a renowned Animal Communicator out to the whales to communicate telepathically with the humpback whales that migrate through that region. Dean then heads off to Taiji, “The Cove” in Japan where thousands of wild dolphins are captured for a life of slavery in aquariums while others are butchered for their meat. Recently a very rare white dolphin named Angel, was rounded up in the hunt and captured and is currently on display at the local aquarium. The aim is to telepathic communicate with Angel and other animals to hear their feelings and share their messages.
I need to buy some essential equipment to shoot some relevant material for the documentary and edit a pilot video. I would also like to start Live streaming which is part of the films strategy to build a data base and the personal interest in the film. I am getting ready to sail north in my marine conservation yacht Migaloo 2 with the humpback whale migration along then east coast of Australia to shoot time critical scenes and need to buy some essential equipment to do this. The essential equipment includes
1. New laptop (MacBook Pro) $2,000
2. Tripod $400
3. Live Streaming: Teradek mini and antennae $700
4 Extra SD Cards and Hard drives $300
5 Hydrophone and under water speakers $600
TOTAL $4000
There will be many challenges in shooting the main film including varifying that the communication from the animals is authentic. See section below " My Passion" to see how I deal with this challenge. For this part of the production i wish to practice my skills communicating with the whales and perfect live streaming over the internet while connecting with the whales . I have been live streaming with the whales in Hervey bay for over 8 years yet now with the huge advancement in live streaming technology more possibilities are open. Reception is a challenge and have some ideas for getting aerials right up the mast of Migaloo 2
