A Quiet Tomorrow
A Quiet Tomorrow is a hauntingly beautiful story about love, loss and the sea. Through this short film,Tasmanian-born writer, Meg Bignell, explores the love between artist and keen surfer, Bass and his partner, Skye. The presence of the sea imposes an enigmatic force on their relationship which threatens to tear them apart.
The setting for the film will be the stunning landscape of Marion Bay on the east coast of Tasmania.
Pre-production for the film is well under way and we have scheduled the shoot to take place in late May. Meg herself will be playing Skye and renowned Australian actor, Chris Gabardi, will play the role of Bass. A dedicated team of industry professionals have agreed to volunteer their time to bring this film together.
We are seeking your support to help fund the post production phase of the film. We have estimated that it will cost us $4800 to do both the offline and online edits, the colour grade and the sound mix. In pledging your support you will not only be supporting the Tasmanian film industry but the arts, in general. You will be investing in the development and growth of an essential cultural industry that is receiving less and less support from both state and federal funding bodies.
So, as Meg said, we ask you to have a look at the fantastic incentives we have put together and please help us complete our project.
