I'm making a DVD from a series of my kids' music concerts I put on last year in Ballarat where a few hundred local families attended, dressed up and danced!
The DVD will run for over an hour and be broken into six segments - enabling parents/kids the flexibility to chose to view it it 10 minute blocks or `as all'.
The themes:

Captain Earl's Pirate Treasure Hunt
Under the Sea with Earl the Octopus
...and The Music-Man's Super-hero Spectacular! (keeping citizens safe with sound)

These clips have only been roughly edited for audio and only use one of the three cameras we had running, so the final DVD uill look and sound even better!
I've been working as a children's musician for 3 years, following on from an existing career playing other types of music. I am so greatful to my wife Rachel for her support, and to my son Jasper and, more recently, daughter Rosie for the inspiration!
I believe in the importance of music for childhood social/mental/emotional development and making the switch to children's music (itself inspired by having children of my own) has further inspired me to commence my GDE in order to augment the educational aspects of my songs and performances.
The funding goal of $9,000 breaks down to $4,000 for filming, editing and authoring (which, though half-completed, has yet to be paid!) including transport and props, $575 for artwork, $2,925 for 500 copies of a DVD, in hard cases with full colour booklet and cover, with the remainder being for miscellaneous expenses.
Even if you don't have a kid in your immediate family, you may want to consider sponsoring shows for play-groups, schools or kinders, particularly disadvantaged/isolated groups. Message me if you'd like some suggestions on who might love a show or a DVD.
