A few years ago I quit my job as an engineer to pursue comedy because that's the only thing I care about.
That's basically what this show is about. Well the passion and nihilism part, not the quitting engineering part, I already did that in a previous show ("I quit because with a job like that you get comfortable and the older you are the more difficult it is to get out, and in that way jobs are a lot like bean bags.").
The idea for the show is to make an ambitious comedy where the performer, moi,, tackles all manner of ambitious topic like the meaning of existence and what one thinks about post-coitally, and jam pack the show with hilarity and absurdity and truth (probably) and effortfulness and other things.
Trying Hard is my third solo show and is much more than a Standup show. Your pledge will help with costumes and props and a treadmill and will help increase the production values of the show while allowing us to secure much needed publicity through advertising, printed marketing material and cover venue costs. We are seeking to cover only a fraction of our budget so any funds generated over our target would be awesome.
