Eugowras Most Wanted Murals
Last year the small town of Eugowra (population of around 500) worked with visiting artists and painted several murals throughout the town; bringing old buildings back to life and telling the stories of town's bushranger heritage including Ben Hall and the Gardiner Gang's biggest robbery haul!
This year the town is continuing to tell its story, depicting local rural life and families, as well as illustrating changes throughout Eugowra's history.
This fundraising effort is to raise much needed funds to purchase paint! Local painters and paint companies have generously donated paint and paint supplies, however more is needed to allow this weekend to be a success!
Grant funding has allowed the town to commence site preparation which will cost in total approximately $6000. The $5000 requested is required to fund tri-coat paint (base coat) and exterior paints.
The many community volunteers are working together and providing accommodation, meals and transport for the 70 artists and their partners who are attending the murals weekend.
The weekend will be a great weekend of fun and excitement, including the hosting of a Mother's Day Luncheon for 200 guests!
