We have been given the chance to show our work interstate at Kings Artist Run in Melbourne, and are reaching out through this pozible fundraiser to help to fund some of the major costs involved. Any support would be hugely appreciated!

Some information about the show:

Finding Edges brings together the work of three artists who explore thresholds between the real and the imagined through painting, drawing and installation. Negotiating the collapsible and often shifting relationship between the abstraction and representation of space and place, Fiona Harman, Lilly Kaiser and Jarrad Martyn with curitorial help from Emma Buswell, present a series of new works that blur the edges, shift them sideways and then attempt to consolidate them anew. Drawing on sources both clear and equivocal the works in this show engage with place as a transient and indeterminate location fixed somewhere between where memory and the imagined reside. Our experience of place is put under question, and the troubling and often mediated channels through which we experience it become part of a homogenised and uncanny present. Working within limits and beginnings and the hazy and uncertain space between physical, socio-political and personal boundaries, Finding Edges draws out the places regularly frequented, searched out, happened upon and specifically travelled and alters them, distorts, manipulates and makes them malleable.

The money raised here will go towards the costs of freight, gallery hire and flights. We have tried for some DCA grants, but were unsuccessful and this is our next option.

Freight: $400

Flights: between $900-$1000

The challenge for us is that we'll have to fund this ourselves, taking away from time spent on our practices'.
