It also follows that you may already know that The Dub Captains are hanging up the horns for good this December, with a final massive Christmas show at LuWow on the 18th.
What’s that you’re whimpering? “Didn't they record an album?” “Whatever happened with that?” Thanks for asking! After 2 years, we finally have a (very nearly) finished product to present to you. It’s called ‘Cool Change’ and goodness me, it’s a cracker! With the vocalists putting the final touches on the record, it is all ready to mix and master and put into your ears!
But alas! So close to the end, and with only 2 gigs left to play, the band kitty has run dry. Including the income from our Christmas gig, we estimate we’re around $700 short of getting the finished product mastered. GUESS IT’LL NEVER HAPPEN. Oh – wait! What’s all this cool and awesome stuff just lying around? Oh yeah – we have a heap of merchandise left, and if we can pre-sell some albums - that should just about get us over the line! PHEW!
We have t-shirts, stubby holders, singles, and digital and physical copies of our brand new album. Just quietly, its chock full of ripping never-before-heard tunes – exclusively for your ears only!

We are almost finished with the album. All the recording (the hard part!) is done – we just have to get the final product mixed and mastered. Even after calling in favours, and counting our last two gigs, the well has run dry. All of the money raised will go towards mastering.

Getting 13 people in one room at one time to rehearse! Our plan? Handball it to Jim, bassist, art director and band manager extraordinaire!
