With just HOURS to go, as they move the clock timer thing on the side from days to Hours, just to get us more excited and crazy, we break our second goal of $11,000 !!!! AMAZING!!!! UPDATE - 27.6.2012 - WOW!!! WE DID IT!!! With 8 Days to go, we reached our Target Goal!!! AMAZING!!! We are truly truly thankful to all of our supporters and can not wait to start making this film!!!! 
Now that we have reached our goal, our next target is $11,000 ! As you know, making movies is not so cheap, and although this is a low budget project, our target goal here is just a quarter of the budget. WHAT IS NANCY PANSY HAIRY MARY?

NANCY PANSY HAIRY MARY is the First Feature Film to be made by FullyFlaredFilms! After spending the last two - three years developing the script, we now believe this story is ready to get produced! The issue of Homophobia has always been an issue we have longed to address in a film and with NANCY PANSY HAIRY MARY, not only do we address it but we fuck it up royally!

NANCY PANSY HAIRY MARY is a love story about hate. The hate that brings two serial killers together from opposite sides of the world, the hate that drives them to kill as many homophobes as possible and the hate that brings them together to find something they were not aware of. Love. After the events of the past year, Sebastian and Felix finally meet and unleash a whole new type of hell for any homophobe standing in their way. When their lives begin to unravel, and innocent people are killed, they are forced to decide if their love for each other is stronger then their hate for others.


WHAT ARE OUR GOALS

Apart from kicking Homophobia in the ass? To make a film that can do it for us, to make THIS FILM and to make it with all of YOU!

Our Dream is for you to be part of this project, to be part of a killer movement in a new wave of radical queer Australian cinema! In order for this film to see the light of day, we need to raise $10,000 minimum to be able to get this film into Production. By contributing we would then consider you to be part of the team, and we want to build a huge team to get behind this film and get it made!

One of the reasons we chose Pozible is to show you how serious we are about making a GREAT Film, because if we do not reach our minimum goal, we do not receive any money at all. If we raise our targeted goal here, and secure the rest of the financing, we are looking to start Principal Photography in September 2012 with the goal of having it finished and travelling the festivals in 2013!



WHO IS BEHIND THIS PROJECT

The Writers Kelly West and Bartholomew Sammut have been working together for the past 12 years making a total of 14 Short Films together plus a number of music videos and promotional videos. Their films have screened at many National and International Film Festivals and they have won a number of awards, such as “Most Promising New Filmmaker” at the Queensland New Filmmakers Awards. Bartholomew has also worked for SBS eatcarpet and a number of other shows and Kelly has worked on a number of Television programs for Channel 10. Both have also worked for a number of film festivals as well as two of their own: The Short Crap Film Festival, that ran in Brisbane from 2000 - 2004 and The XPOSED International Queer Film Festival Berlin, that is currently having its 7th Edition. Bartholomew also works for the Berlin International Film Festival and Kelly works for Youth Media Works in Melbourne.

Joining FullyFlaredFilms to Direct this film is Christoph Scheermann. Christoph has worked with FullyFlaredFilms on his last two short films and has also won a number of awards for his previous Short Films plus was nominated for an Iris Prize!  Christoph is alumni of the Berlinale Talent Campus 2012. He started his career at the age of 12 as actor in the German adaptation of Al Bundy’s “Married With Children”. For more than ten years he has been now working as a segment producer and voice talent for nationwide TV in Germany.

NANCY PANSY HAIRY MARY ist eine Liebes-Geschichte über Hass.Sie bringt zwei Serien-Killer zusammen, die weiter voneinander nicht weg leben können. Deutschland und Australien.Ihr Haß richtet sich gegen homophobe Menschen und beflügelt sie - berauscht sie. Und in diesem Rausch beginnen sie zu töten. Doch als beide Killer Sebastian and Felix schließlich aufeinander treffen, passiert etwas, dass sie nicht geplant hatten: Sie verlieben sich ineinander. Am Ende müssen sie sich entscheiden, ob ihre Liebe zueinander größer ist als ihr Hass. Mit dieser Entscheidung steht und fällt, ob sie weiterleben und sterben müssen.

Wir brauchen DONATIONS .. also SPENDEN! Deshalb gehen wir über CROWDFUNDING, d.h. viele geben einen kleinen Teil. Je mehr Leute dabei sind, desto größer die Summe. Der Berlinale-Film IRON SKY wurde so mit mehreren Millionen finanziert und automatisch bekommen wir so schon im Vorfeld FANS für das Projekt.

Ein weiterer Teil wird über SPONSOREN finanziert, aber dieses CROWDFUNDING ist der Start.

Wenn wir hier unser erstes Ziel von $10.000 AUD erreichen, dann werden andere auf unser Projekt aufmerksam und es ist leichter den Rest über die SPONSOREN zu bekommen.

WER STECKT HINTER DEM PROJEKT

Die Autoren Kelly West und Bartholomew Sammut haben in den vergangenen 12 Jahren bereits 14 Filme zusammen gemacht, dazu Musikvideos und TV Promos. Ihre Filme wurden auf internationalen Festivals gezeigt und gewannen viele Preise.

Beide starteten ihre Karriere als Producer beim Fernsehen in Australien und haben für verschiedene Filmfestivals gearbeitet. Bart ist u.a. bei der BERLINALE tätig und hat sein eigenes Filmfestival - The XPOSED International Queer Film Festival Berlin – das in diesem Jahr in die 7. Runde geht.

Als Regisseur schließt sich Christoph Scheermann dem Team von FullyFlaredFilms an. Christoph hat zusammen mit FullyFlaredFilms seine letzten beiden Filme realisiert und damit Publikumspreise und die Nominierung zum Iris Prize gewonnen. Insegsamt hat Christoph bereits 14 Filme als Regisseur, Autor und Produzent realisiert. Er ist außerdem Alumni des Berlinale Talent Campus 2012.

Christoph begann seine Karriere im Alter von 12 Jahren als Hauptdarsteller in der deutschen Adaption von Al Bundys Sitcom “Married With Children”. Seit mehr als 10 Jahren ist Christoph als TV-Redakteur und Sprecher tätig, hauptsächlich für SAT.1. Aktuell schließt er sein Regie-Studium an der Filmarche ab, Europas erster selbst organisierter Filmschule.
