After a sold-out premiere of her show at the 2015 Wominjeka Festival, Star Aqua Galactica (aka Yagan Satour) travelled to a distant solar system (Darwin) to develop her craft and live it up in the tropics.
But Melbourne wants her back!
Yagan has been invited to perform his hit show, 'past racism/future rights' at the Festival of Live Art (FOLA) on Thursday 3 and Friday 4 March 2016 at the Footscray Community Arts Centre and we need some funds to help get us there!
'past racism/future rights' is a theatre/drag/performance/multimedia extravaganza that explores racism in Australia by a man with a unique and beautiful voice - Yagan is Aboriginal, gay and has an intellectual disability.

How The Funds Will Be Used
We have limited funds to put on the show and need the following:
- return airfares from Darwin to Melbourne for Yagan and production team
- car hire and petrol
- make-up artist x 2 shows
- wig styling and costume alterations (we have all been eating too many laksas)
- video production (to update from the last show)
We also have an opportunity to develop some merchandise for the show and funds from the Pozible campaign will go into making limited edition underwear. This merchandise will help us to become self-sufficient and bring the show to more audiences in the future.
Here's a breakdown of how we would spend the funds from this Pozible campaign:
