My name is Geoff Brown, and I am the owner of Cohesion Press, a publisher of horror books. We also run events to facilitate and help the horror writing scene here in Australia.
To that end, my wife and I have been running events in haunted asylums for years now.

We began running writers' retreats in Aradale Mental Hospital in Ararat, Victoria, in 2013, and moved them to Mayday Hills Asylum when we were no longer able to have accommodation in the Ararat Asylum.

We signed our lives away and bought a large portion of the Mayday Hills facility, so we intend to open it up to everyone who wants to experience the unique atmosphere.

Beechworth Lunatic Asylum, originally known as the Mayday Hills Lunatic Asylum, is a decommissioned hospital located in Beechworth, a town of Victoria, Australia. Mayday Hills Lunatic Asylum was the fourth such hospital to be built in Victoria, being one of the three largest.
Mayday Hills Hospital closed in 1995 after 128 years of operation.
Today, it is a mixture of abandoned, haunted buildings and new developments.



It's one of the scariest places in Australia.

FAQ

This is a way of getting our name out there for this new and exciting business.
Our way of selling enough tickets during the first transitional month when people won't be aware of the new business and will likely call the old number to book and then give up when they can't get through.
Our income will go toward paying the high cost of the facility, ensuring we have tonnes of ghost-hunting equipment well before we open, and paying the staff that take care of our guests so well.

This campaign is also a way of giving to the horror-interested community.
Every perk is designed to offer you some completely unique experiences at discounted rates, because we believe this is a special project and we want you to be an integral part of it.
