Gina Raisin

This is the beginning of my life as an artist.
I want the chance for the first time in my life to extend my creative existence into new realms.

My goal is to dream and paint a successful solo exhibition with at least 30 pieces of various dimensions. I am registered to have an exhibition for the August 2014 South Australian Living Artist Festival.

I want to tell stories on canvas that will move people.
I want people to see my work and say “I like that” – “oo I hate that” or at least notice it…and hopefully someone fall in love and buy my work.

I believe my greatest challenge is creating artwork on the scale I dream – currently working on pieces 1.8m 1.2m – I want to go bigger!

My biggest fear is that few people see my work, and I sell not artwork as a result.

Plans to overcome these obstacles include working within the range of commercial canvases available until I have the cash for custom made canvases.

If I do not sell artwork from this exhibition I plan to set up a commercial arrangement with a local retailer.
