A short documentary series of 8 episodes profiling interesting jobs in Canberra and the people who are passionate about them.

Not necessarily unique jobs but everyday occupations that ordinarily go unnoticed. The only stipulation, that the employee is passionate about their job and is willing to share what makes their work so enjoyable.

The idea is to feature Canberra as a location and the diversity of work and opportunities and the enjoyment available in employment in the National Capital.

Each episode is short in duration at 2 - 3minutes.

The series is an extension of several profiles that I have already completed for ABC Television.

I would like to develop this into a regular ongoing series and find an audience either online as a web series or broadcast locally.

Funding and participation is ideally suited to local companies that wish to highlight the positive aspects of living and working in Canberra and to feature their own brand.

With over 22 years experience in the broadcast industry, I have the ability to develop and produce content of a high quality and to work independently with a tight budget. Examples of my work can be viewed online at https://vimeo.com/gcnelson

The initial series can be produced linearly in a very short time frame of 1 month with each episode available for broadcast upon completion.

The estimated budget per episode including filming, editing and music is $2500.

The only risks are finding the right talent to participate. My experience and research so far would indicate that this is not a problem. Canberra is blessed with a diversity of occupations and work environments that attract many enthusiastic candidates. Most people are happy to expand on and share their areas of interest and expertise with an interested audience.
