Australian Cockatoos Need Nests
This nephew and uncle team are concerned about disappearing native wildlife. The loss of old growth forest, and with it ancient trees that provide nesting hollows, has seen a decline in numbers of these native bird black cockatoo species. We aim to raise funds for a pilot cockatube (man-made nesting hollows) breeding initiative on suitable southwest Western Australia properties.
Budget Overview
$350 each to have 4 nesting tubes installed. The balance going to monitoring cameras to watch for any activity. Any left over funds will go toward the purchase of ringtail possum nesting boxes from the wildlife hospital and sanctuary at which Gus works. I hope we got the budget right.
No Reward
Look, there's no risk with this one. So, there's no reward. But Gus and Frank very much appreciate that you would donate toward the campaign and thankyou from the bottom of each cockatube (where the cockatoos will nest).
