The Footscray Classic is fast becoming an institution out west. More than just a simple houseparty, Classics past have showcased local music and drinking talent while providing a safe partying atmosphere for everyone involved. In fact, I remember sitting on the porch of the crib at the first Classic chatting to a young man about how he felt that this was definitely the best party he had ever been to, when he stated that, "Year 12 is just so hard, you know?" Good to see the kids getting amongst it. On the other end of the spectrum my dad and his mates always have a killer time, while in- between we have a variety of drinking, dancing, smoking, smoke-alarm-ripping, window-shattering, bedroom-floor-vomitting, trans-Tasman-travelling, Macbook-DJing, Party-bus-riding, bad-role-modelling, up-late-staying revellers that make these thing so worthwhile.

We often talk about the bands, the fun etc. But really it's just getting together with the people that matters.

The funds will be used to fuel the Party Bus, fuel the BBQ, and fuel the fun. We need to hire a PA, buy some food, and on top of it all we've been thinking about shooting part of a film clip with all-a-y'all help so that may require a minor financial outlay. But basically the last Classics have set us back about $200 so we figure that's a fair target.

Well, none. We've done it before, we'll do it again. And pay rent on time the next month, and maybe even replace the smoke alarms that got torn out of the ceiling a year ago if this Pozible actually gets something going on.
