-----Help "Shetland Pony" make a music video in collaboration with local artists Adam France, Cleo Mees and Kai Smith! -------
Hi, we're "Shetland Pony", a band of kids from Newtown Primary School (the younger sibling of jazz reggae hiphop band "Humungous Pony").
We've been practising really hard this year on some exciting songs, including one by our conductor Harri called "Al Medina" which we want to use for our music video!
We've approached some local artists to collaborate on our video and they said yes! Now we just need to raise the $ to make it happen!
"Al Medina" is a Middle-Eastern style piece that Harri wrote after a trip to Palestine and Lebanon. It features a couple of us doing awesome improvised solos and of course a funky drum beat!
This will be a great experience for us to see what it's like to make a music video - from learning about sound recording, to cameras, costumes and editing.
Adam France is a local artist, designer and dancer who will be directing and editing our video in his own special style! (see video above)... Cleo Mees, a filmmaker and dancer, will be on camera, and Kai Smith (from "Iya"), a music teacher and amazing producer will be recording the sound.
We can't wait to share our music with you and show other kids out there a different way for a concert band to sound! We're also super excited to work with Adam, Cleo and Kai. We already know Kai because he sometimes conducts our band when Harri is away - he's awesome!
Please pledge now and spread the word!

All our funds will go towards paying the artists involved in the collaboration.
$400 for Adam France for direction and editing
$200 for Cleo Mees for filming and pre-editing
$200 for Kai Smith for making a high quality sound recording for us to use
We're very confident that we can join together to raise enough money to make this project happen!
