Hey everyone!
First off, i want to tell you about our exciting project we have been working on during the last year...BaaZooka!
A fun, platform based puzzle game! Set in a farm world, a young boy sets out on a wacky adventure across various farms- His goal is yet unknown, but you can join him on this wacky and somewhat crazy journey!
~ What we have done, and where we want to go!
We have been working on this project in our spare time, over the last 6-9 months- A team of 5 dedicated young lads who are wanting to break into the Independent games industry here in Melbourne, Australia! We have done quite well so far- but we need your help and support!
~What do we need to break into the industry?
We are seeking funds to get this project into its refined and final stages before release, we are all very poor University students working part time jobs to make ends meet, and require your help to make our dream come true! We have put our hearts into this game to bring something fresh and creative to the industry, especially for Melbourne- Which recently has been losing all of its game companies :(.
Here's a little breakdown on what we need:
-iPod Touch (16gig) Valued at $249 AUD [This will be used to play-test our game and any future games we definitely plan to create, this will be shared by our team and kept at HQ]
-licensing fees, Sadly these can be anywere from $1500-3000, but after doing some research I have found a 12-month license for $300 - This will enable us to be able to export to ios and Android with many, many additional quality features- and essentially make our game much more efficient, play better, and better graphics.
-Marketing costs- This money will be for entering competitions, hosting a formal website, logo development and anything in-between- $200
Programming and Audio assistance - We have a few implementations that we would like to get done professionally to ensure the game runs as fantastically as possible for our players to enjoy- Sadly programmers are very expensive! normally we would need no less than a few thousand dollars! Luckily we know a programmer, but he would have to take time off from his full-time job, in which the costs would occur.- $250
