My name is Jamie Santilli, and I am the creator of 'Roots of Music', a company that is all about celebrating musical creativity and opening our hearts and minds to the 'Roots of Music'. We successfully launched in November 2012 to a great response and have seen growth at a rapid rate.
Our mission is to promote and provide deserved recognition to the finest artists out there and deliver them straight to you. We have achieved this by having household names grace the stage as well as providing a platform for the best up and coming acts to have their chance to shine.
With a broad scope of artists and all genres being represented we provide something for everyone and give musicians and music lovers a place to unwind and share in a common interest.

As well as the opportunity to perform, we also assist artists that may not be able to afford professional management. This gives them a point of contact in the industry who can advise them on how to further their careers, gain more experience and increase exposure at minimal cost. We also offer funding for launch press (single, E.P, etc.), venue/event sourcing, assistance with advertising and access to our dedicated team of photographers, filmers and graphic designers. As mentioned, costs are minimised by 'Roots of Music' to help ease financial stress and allow the artist to focus on achieving their goals and sharing their talents.

Due to our expanding roster of bands, Roots of Music has reached a point where we need your assistance to stay alive. For the first 10 months I have pulled the majority of the funding for Roots of Music from my day job, but as most would understand this is not entirely viable for the long term future. Despite this I refuse to give up as I believe we have created something of great value to the musical community and I want to keep the momentum going!

The Challenges
The main risk of this project is getting lost within the heavily saturated music scene.
How can this be dealt with well that is the 'easy' part, with your help and you donations we can grow this company to a point where it is able to stand out from the rest of market. With this comes a domino effect as it then rolls onto the acts that come to us for assistance. The bigger we grow the stronger our network becomes, and therefore the stronger the affect we can have on the music community.

We value every donation, so for $5 towards helping reach our goal we would like to acknowledge your contribution by placing your name on a banner we will have created to be put up at our 'Weekly Wednesday' events for the 12 months proceeding our campaign.

A copy of the first official Roots of Music compilation CD! Featuring 12 tracks from a variety of the many talented artists who have graced the stage at a Roots of Music show in the past 10 months. This CD will be limited to 200 and once they are sold no more will be pressed.
