ABOUT US & THE STORY

Jane Nguyen Productions is a small production team of emerging filmmakers, who are creating a film that explores a father's difficulty of letting go of their daughter. 

How do you cope when you're not the only man in your daughter's life anymore?

Daddyʼs Blessing is comedic mockumentary set in the Australian suburbs. It is a fifteen minute short film.

Daddyʼs Blessing is a witty and entertaining short film that focuses on Carlos, a South American dad who lives in Australia. Growing up in South America, Carlos finds it s little difficult raising a daughter in an Australian lifestyle. He becomes strict and overprotective of his little princess when it comes to boys and dating.

Carlos always feels as though his daughter rebels and they're completely different from each other. But in reality, Carlos only senses these rebellious behaviour because he refuses to change his beliefs and customs to adjust to his new lifestyle where his daughter has grown up in. Carlos always goes out of his way to get his point across, but through his foolish acts, Carlos learns a lesson from them.

 

 

 

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR

 

We are looking into crowd funding as we have no funds at all to work with for project as this is a student short film. So we turn to you guys out there on the internet for some support. We intend to use all funds raised for production purposes only, which include, catering, hair and make up, props, deliverables and music clearances. Although this is a student project, we are still raising money for music clearances because we are looking at submitting our project into various upcoming festivals.

 

All our crew, actors, and our background artists are all helping us out for free, so we would like to provide catering for the team in return for their help! Please help us reward them with a nice meal on set! You'll get awesome rewards for supporting us!!

Whether or not we reach our financial goal, this project will continue as it is a student project with a deadline, but we would like to ask for your support to allow this project to reach its full potential and allow us to submit this film all around the world.
