Every day is a new beginning, a new adventure, renewed hope and a chance to start fresh. At Sunset Island we let go of yesterday, embrace today and imagine tomorrow with nature’s farewell kiss for the night.
Sunset island is about bringing people together in a celebration of love, light and sound.
Sunset Island is a place to share what we love about life.
The story of Sunset island began when Jasper and his mate Murray decided to go on an adventure to check out Burning Man Australia (aka Burning Seed) in 2013. Not knowing what to expect we just went with an open mind and some enthusiasm to make the best of what ever we found.
What we discovered was something very special and nothing like any other festival we had attended. From start to finish we had the most amazing and spontaneous experience and met some awesome people....introducing the Melbourne crew.
Camping next to us was a small group of people from Melbourne - they welcomed us with open arms and we soon became festival buddies eating, drinking and dancing together! It seemed we had all taken a punt on coming to Burning Seed and had left our throng of party going friends back in the big cities.
So on returning back to civilization we felt a calling to share this new experience with with our friends and to go back in 2014 with something bigger and more prepared to create a party like no other.
The Sunset Island theme camp concept was born!
We are an official Burning Seed theme camp with an idyllic sunset location, a tropical island themed set up (including 5m palm trees!), a host of DJ's crafting sublime tunes and free cocktails flowing!!!
We will be the location for everyone at Burning Seed to enjoy the sunset and get in the groove for the night ahead. We are also having a day party on the Friday before the Effigy is burnt.

You and your crew are invited to get shipwrecked on Sunset Island, where the music, as deep as the ocean itself will carry you on an uplifting voyage through the day and into the night.
With a luscious tropical cocktail in your hand, who wouldn't mind being stranded on Sunset Island.
As your gifting contribution by helping make this happen, we just ask for a $50 contribution to help cover our costs.

How The Funds Will Be Used
The estimated cost of making this happen is $6000 which covers the cost of DJ equipment hire, sounds system, generator, alcohol, themed food, and materials to create a our tropical island theme . Plus the hire of a truck to carry it all!
Your $50 gifting contribution will help hit our $4000 target which in addition to our fundraising party should cover all our costs.
