Peter Black has made a killer 3^rd Solo album titled “The Paintings On Ya Wall Say GAMBLER! GAMBLER!” and is mad keen on releasing it on vinyl.
Why? ‘Cos vinyl rocks.

For over 30 years Blackie has been making and releasing music. A LOT of music. As the front man for Hard Ons and Nunchukka Superfly and more recently as a solo artist he has toured relentlessly and released so many albums even he can’t count them. He is a living national bloody treasure!

Being this prolific is not cheap. Blackie has traded any kind of financial security and comfort for the love of music. Music does not pay the bills.

The total cost of recording and mastering the album came in at around $10,500, covered by Blackie alone. That’s a lot of cab fares! (Blackie works as a taxi driver to pay to live the dream).

But…..

Pressing records is expensive and a financial risk. It ties up a lot of cash in stock that may or may not ever sell in the end. And the profit margins are laughable.
Blackie doesn’t have the money to release this album on vinyl. Not when there are more Hard Ons, Nunchukka and Solo records to make.

Here at WeEmptyRooms we said “Fuck That.” Surely there are people out there that want to see this album out on wax as much as the man who made it? We reckon there are and through this campaign are giving people the opportunity to pre order the LP and make this pressing happen. There are also a couple of other cool things on offer.

WeEmptyRooms (operated by Jace and Jem from DEAD) have worked with Nunchukka Superfly and Hard Ons since around 2004, releasing a few CDS, LPs and 7”s along the way. People that know us know we don’t fuck around, you can rest assured this will be one sweet arse vinyl pressing that will sound and look as good as it possibly can.

The pressing will be 300 copies of 180gram Black Vinyl + Download Code, Glossy covers and heavy weight printed inner sleeves. Released as a split label release between WeEmptyRooms and The Cool Bananas Record Co.

Total cost of pressing the records is $3700
If we can raise $2500 then we will cover the balance and press the record. If we make more than the pressing amount the extra money will be spent on publicity for the album.

We have everything in place to make the turnaround time as fast as possible so you’re not waiting forever for your record. Please allow 3 months from the end of campaign till when you have some sweet sweet vinyl on your turntable.

The only challenge we face is finances. If enough people want this record and are willing to buy it we will release it.
